Now bar suddenly disappears

The Now bar has disappeared from my phone. I've tried restarting my phone and clearing the cache, but it's still not showing up.

 I experienced a display error with the Now bar; the timer incorrectly displayed "02:--" on the Always-On Display. (yes i have my phone set to always show when my phone is charging)

Change your font, that'll fix it. It's a unicode error, the nowbar has difficulty displaying fonts that are ugly.
