S25 Ultra owner since the day it came out. Overall happy with the phone but it's getting exhausting missing messages due to this problem....

Pretty much everyone is using Google Messages at this point for the RCS compatibility feature with iPhone users (pretty stoked about that) but it's one of the many Apps that "Group" their Notifications and it's killing me.

My lock screen will show 7 individual notifications for any kind of Social (ie 7 Instagram DMs) but only a single Messages notification with a small number on the side. Sure, I can tap it and they'll expand, but I genuinely miss it a few times a day and I need a fix. Somehow all of the Social Media notifications are all individually shown, but not what's actually important, weird.

I've tried the Notification Categories, I've scoured this app, Reddit, and YT. I've even tried to customize the Do Not Disturb. Nothing has worked. Only one other thread on here complaining, it seems. I can't be the only one lol Please tell me someone has a solution!

I think it may be the way the apps themselves are programmed for notifications.  My experiment failed (somewhat).  The notifications are still grouped (I used this app's notifications as the tester), but when I expand it does show me the whole message, which had vexed me that it didn't.  The only thing I can suggest for you if you want to distinguish important texts from inconsequential would be to have notification categories on and set a different notification sound for certain conversations. For instance, if you want to know when messages from your wife come through, set that conversation's sound to something different than the app default.  If you have sounds turned off, perhaps flagging that conversation as priority would separate it from the herd.  Sorry, that's all I got. The other user's suggestion of using Notistar may help but, as I understand it, even with the app shortcut on the lock screen you would still have to open the app, which is not what you want; but at least it only takes one tap to see all your notifications.  You can set Notistar to only show the notifications from the apps that bundle.  All other notifications will still appear on your screen as normal, I believe. At least if you have to tap the Notistar icon, it's easier than trying to precisely hit the arrow on the bundled notifications.
