Can I use YouTube Music instead of Spotify on my Samsung music app? Spotify's alright, but I prefer YouTube Music, so is there a way to switch?

It's not integrated to Samsung music app, but you can use the YouTube music standalone app.

Like you know how in the Samsung music app you score left and it has Spotify in the upper left hand corner? I'm saying that can I change that?

No. Spotify is intgrated into Samsung music, kind of. All the Spotify link does is open the spotify app and then use Spotify's player. So it really matters not which music player you use. They all perform basically the same functions. So using YT music player isn't any different.

Thank you for your input. Yes it does matter because I don't want to pay a subscription for multiple music streaming apps I would like to have my music all in one place and I would like to have it all on device so I can do things like ringtones or playing my favorite song as a alarm for when I wake up in the morning Etc. but again thank you for your input

Samsung has a partnership with Spotify. You don't have to pay for a subscription to Spotify, I use the free version. But I don't really use it because I have my own curated collection of downloaded music. The only difference I can tell between the free and paid versions of Spotify is ads and access to certain premium artists/podcasts - maybe some other features I don't care about. I was able to create a few playlists with songs/artists I like.

What you can do, however, is create a wakeup routine to start at a specific time to open your preferred service and playlist and use that as your alarm.

Just do not use the Samsung Music app and only the YT version. There is no way to edit the category section layout/contents where Spotify shows up first (as it opens defaulting on the left side regardless of the categories). Or if that is not good enough, uninstall the Music app and simply use the YT version instead, and no Spotify will be seen.

The OP has explained that they would like to use their YT music playlist as their alarm.  It is not an option in the alarm sound list - only Spotify is because of the Samsung partnership.

Got it, I did not read on, just the initial two comments the OP made and I went with the gist from there.
