Galaxy Watchgood one...
It depends. I'm not sure if the altitude meter on the compass is based on the GPS or the barometer.
GPS altitude is tricky and not as reliable as the barometer...
But using the barometer should display a fairly precise altitude if you're flying in a small unpressurized airplane... If you are flying in a pressurized airplane (eg, your regular commercial jet), the barometer is useless...

Galaxy Watch@dortyboy It should. To enable Altitude on your Watch Ultra the agreement that pops up indicates that it is using GPS for the altitude. Hopefully later this year I can give it a real life test.

Galaxy Watch@dortyboy You can add a barometer to the watch face. But it isn't converted into altitude.
