Can't get cellular added to my watch 6

Every time I try to activate my esim in my watch it states the the phone is not compatible. I have a watch 6 and a Zfold 4. 

Anyone else run it to issues with this?

I know this seems weird and it may not work but uninstall gpay on the watch and reinstall it, then try to activate the esim

This is what pops up everytime I attempt to activate the esim. At&t says its a samsung software issue and samsung says its an AT&T issue.

AT&T activated it? If so login to your AT&T account and try the QR code

I don't think you can use a regular esim plan for these smart watches. I have tmobile and they can only set the watch LTE up either as their digits plan or watch standalone plan. Both uses esim, but different than a cell phone esim plan
