Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and NFC

At my fitness center there is an NFC **bleep** for members to login prior to entry.

I have the membership card in Google Wallet in both:

Samsung S23 Ultra

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

Of course I have NFC turned on for both devices.

I am able to login touchless using my phone.

I am UNABLE to login touchless using my watch.

Either I am doing something wrong or the watch is unable to support this.

I have seen other members login using a watch but they may have Apple watches.

Have you made Google Wallet the default pay app for the watch? Are you able to pay using the watch, and it's just this check in thing not working? Are you, in fact, placing the watch on the radio signal icon on the terminal?

Yes google wallet is the default pay app. I have not added any credit cards for payment - I am trying to get this working first before I attempt any form of payments with credit cards.
