I was recently on vacation and didn't take my magnetic charger because I figured I'd just Power Share charge my watch with my Galaxy S25 Ultra. It would never charge and just said charger not compatible. Anyone got any idea why the brand new phone, won't charge the brand new watch?

Galaxy WatchThe Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra do not support wireless power sharing from a Samsung phone because the new sensor design increased the distance between the internal wireless charging coil and the external surface.

Galaxy WatchWhy does no one ever read the user manual/tricks and tips section, or check the specs and then act surprised when things don't do what they think they do?

Galaxy WatchAnd each time a new device is introduced some features are added and some taken away. It behooves a consumer to READ THE SPECS to see what changed. There would be no point in introducing new products if nothing ever changes. Being a man is no excuse for not reading instructions and is nothing to take pride in. It just makes one seem less intelligent. If you are a man, why do you have a female avatar?

Galaxy WatchI have heard that joke many, many times over many, many years and it is never funny. Just because something is true does not make it funny.

Galaxy WatchThere were other improvements, and the amount of people that actually used power share was probably comparatively negligible and a decision was made. Especially since one can find a charging port or wireless charging pad almost everywhere these days, along with the ability to carry a power bank. How big do you want a phone to be to fit all the hardware to do all the stuff everybody wants? Admittedly, Samsung does not make it easy to find all the specs and inclusions so people can make informed decisions for which features they are willing to give up in order to have others they want, but there are tech sites that do that work. Samsung's website is more about bogging down your device with needless animations and very light on specs. All sizzle and no steak.
