It's just really unattractive. It does not look as sleek and finished as my Watch 4.
The case is slightly different than the earlier models and just disconcerting to look at. It looks lower quality than previous models. Maybe it's just the silver color, or the fact that it's aluminum, not steel. Fortunately, there are enclosures on the market I can buy to hide that.
Day 4 with my new watch. Happy with the battery life, as oppposed to my recent experiences with the watch 4. Getting a solid 26 hours out of it, which is perfect for me. My perception of it as an unattractive piece of hardware has not changed.
I do not like that if I cycle to a tile on the watch and don't cycle back (or press the home button), the next time I open the watch I do not get my watch face, but it remains on the tile I last opened, no matter how much time has passed. Also, if I check the battery stats and scroll down to see the usage, the next time I check the stats, it remains in the page position I last viewed instead of at the top which tells me the battery life left. Why is this not the same seamless experience as my watch 4?
It looks like you can change that option with "show last app" to "never" under Settings > Display and it'll go back to watch face after screen timeout. It worked for me, anyway. Hope that helps!
I already have it set to never. I normally just hit the home button after viewing anyway, but sometimes I forget. But on this watch, even when I do that - let's say I look at my battery life- if I scroll down to see the stats and don't scroll back up to the top before closing out, next time I look at the battery, the screen is in the same position. It's annoying.
