Why did Samsung remove"Revert to Original Setting when Mode is turned off" from Modes and Routines? I had a sleep Mode set up few a year that had a setting called "Revert to Original Setting when Mode is turned off". I accidently deleted that Mode, when I recreated, this setting no longer exists, and now my Watch doesn't go back to Wake on Raise Wrist, and Wake on Screen Touch.

Why would Samsung have removed this setting? It makes Modes completely useless.

Edit: To be clear, the Mode I accidently deleted worked perfectly, and reverted after turning the mode off (I could literally see the Revert setting in this mode). The recreated Mode does not have this setting visible, and does NOT revert back after the Mode is turned off.

All actions for modes are always reversed when the mode is deactivated. The action you are referring to was never part of any mode I've used since I've had a Samsung phone.  If it was ever there, it was likely removed because it was redundant and unnecessary.  If it was ever there for you, you must not have set one in a very long time, as I just checked my older Samsung phone running OneUI5.0, and it's not in those modes either.

Some routines, however,  will allow for an end action, as sometimes you want a routine to trigger, but remain in the same state after the trigger action is no longer in play. All routines automatically reverse the trigger actions when the routine ends, so there is no need to set that action, unless you want it to do something else.

But they don't revert, ever.  They did when the setting existed, but now they do not.  At all!!!

I don't know how long you've had your watch or what watch model it is, but modes are now set on the phone and your wear app should have the setting on to sync modes with phone.   They didn't add watch actions to the modes on the phone until OneUI6.0. So, now all that must be set on the phone.  You should not be able to create modes on the watch itself.

If you have an older watch running Tizen (anything below a watch 4), Tizen is no longer supported and actions you were able to set on the watch before you deleted the mode are likely no longer available.  Your watch will stop working as anything other than a watch in January.

Not Tizen.. I created this MOde back in December of 2024.  It had the setting, now it does not.. This has nothing to do with syncing between the watch and phone.

Likely they removed it because it's a redundancy.  Modes *ALWAYS* reverse the actions when they are turned off.  When they added the watch actions to the modes and routines, they probably eliminated the reversal action just as they eliminated being able to create a mode on the watch.  Modes must be created and modified on the phone, regardless whether you sync the modes with the phone.  You create them on the phone and they apply to the watch.  So even if you don't sync the modes with the watch, when you turn on sleep mode on the watch, whatever parameters you set on the phone will apply.

The phone and watch sync modes, like I said, this has nothing to do with the issue at hand.  None of that has changed.  The only thing that has changed is that I deleted the mode th had the grand fathered revert settings, and then I recreated the mode, and the revert settings no longer exist, and the nothing reverts.

I created an "Awake Mode" that reverts all of the settings back to where they should be after "Sleep Mode" is disabled.  The Awake mode stays active for only 1 minute, but leaves all of my settings they way they should be after that minute is up.  It's too bad there's no way to automatically execute "Awake Mode" when "Sleep Mode" is disabled.

I'm dumbfounded as to why I should have to do this.

You should not have to do that.  It's automatic. ALL MODES REVERSE ACTIONS WHEN THEY ARE DISABLED - there would be no point in turning them off if they didn't.  I don't understand why that's so hard for you to comprehend.  Although, having an awake mode isn't going to hurt anything, it's just redundant.  If your mode ends and does not reverse the settings, that's an error and should be reported through error reporting.
