When running outdoors I use Komoot for navigation.
Previously I used a Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 and everything was running really great! I was very happy with the navigation help. Before I found out that I could use the map navigation and only used the turn-by-turn I here and there lost my way. Switching on map navigation help enormously in finding the subtle differences between one path and the other.
Now I switched to a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, only to notice this view is gone š
I've checked with Komoot multiple times and this is their response:
We are aware that they are currently more limited and different from what we were able to offer in the Tizen operating system and the topic will remain on our roadmap for future projects and improvements.
Since our product is very versatile and used by a wide variety of users for different sports and multiple purposes, there are a lot of different requests and ideas. We therefore have to collect, categorize, evaluate and prioritize a lot of feedback to find out which project would be most helpful to the majority of users to make their adventures with komoot even more awesome. We therefore hope for your understanding that we can't specify which ideas will be implemented when and in which form.
Komoot currently doesn't have a board or any other means to do a feature request. If you recognize this as a missing feature, it could be helpful to send them an E-mail. There must be more Samsung Watch users that hope for this feature!
