Set up your emergency contacts on your phone. In the contacts add them to the emergency contacts group. Then go to the wear app watch settings/safety and emergency/emergency SOS and make sure the slider is turned on to notify your emergency contacts, and which emergency # to call (911 is the default, but you may wish it to be something else). It also tells you how to activate emergency SOS when needed. The emergency settings in the watch and phone should mirror each other, once you set one, the other should be set. If not, then set each one separately.
