Well, after months of promising a fix for faulty lap tracking during pool swims, Tech Support recently acknowledged they haven't actually been working on it.

I'm done. Put the Watch 8 Classic and Ultra 2025 in a drawer, uninstalled all watch faces, and uninstalled Samsung Wearable.

What a waste of money. This experience reminds me of when I gave up on Samsung tablets because they were horrible. Looks like I'll stick to their watches and ear buds. Everything else: ๐Ÿคฎ

It's a confirmed issue after I sent them over a week's worth of data/logs/dumps. They said they had enough data to fix it and would issue an update to do so.
When I asked about the status of the fix last week, they said they're not working on it.

Yup. Several others have posted here with the same problem. Now we know we're not getting a fix I guess.

"Put the Watch 8 Classic and Ultra 2025 in a drawer"

"Looks like I'll stick to their watches and ear buds."

Wait, I'm confused. Isn't the Watch8 a 'watch'? And wouldn't it be better to use the buds with a Samsung device, like a phone?

Wouldn't it be better to get a refund for the Watch8 and go online and find a wearable that does what you want it to do and can be used with your Samsung phone? And, since you had a specific need, wouldn't it have been wiser to do this research before you bought the Watch8?

All great points, so let me clear up your confusion.: I mistakenly wrote WATCHES instead of PHONES. ๐Ÿ˜Š I won't edit my comment because it'll seem like your comment wasn't valid, and it is. But there it is: my mistake.
As for a refund and research, that's out of the question because Tech Support strung us along with the promise of a fix. As far as research, the Galaxy Watch Ultra WAS perfect until it got ONEUI 8. I discovered the pool tracking bug in the 2024, 2025, and 8 Classic, which is what led me to conclude that the problem was in the new software. Tech Support agreed, but as of last week, they said they're not working on it.

So yes. I went back to using an old Garmin Venu I had abandoned in favor of the Galaxy watches, and now my pool swim tracking is flawless. Which was the point I was trying to make: Samsung for phones and buds; Garmin for watches.

I wasn't trying to find fault and assumed the ability to understand your meaning was on my part. I'm 64 and people seem to me to text or write in a short hand that I don't quite understand.
