My Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 screen protector started tearing/peeling along the middle/fold, after about a year of use. Not sure if the $8/month I pay Samsung for warranty/insurance would cover that now. I had it replaced at a uBreakiFix (by asurion) location for $40, and it looks like new again.
I bought it for the small form factor when folded. If the screen protector lasts for 1 year, I think it's ok. Yeah, I'd sacrifice some battery life for a smaller form factor too. I carry an iPhone too, lol.
We'll see how long this screen protector lasts.
My Galaxy S4 and S7 and S10e all lasted longer after newer models came out.
