I've attached through RCA and Digital Audio jacks and nothing.  I've reset audio on the tv (UN40NON5200AF) tested the soundbar on another tv (works perfectly) the bluetooth works fine... I just don't see how both the audio out RCA and digital audio could both be botched.

The tv audio is fine too.

Soundbar is Insignia NS-sBAR21F20...

Great! It does. Your soundbar likely does not support the other format.

Can you please verify the TV model code? We're unable to pull anything up.

This unit does not have RCA Audio Outputs, only RCA and Component Inputs. Have you tried a different Optical Audio cable?

yep, you're right.  I switched out Optical Audio cables with a unit (tv/soundbar) that is currently working... still nothing.

Have you done a factory reset of the television? Have you tried unplugging everything from power and each other for 5 minutes and then re-connecting?

I did the reset.  I unplugged and reconnected.  Nothing.

I did do a troubleshoot and sound did come over the soundbar, but it won't come over anything else.

Does the issue occur on all sources and inputs? Are you trying to have audio come out of the television and soundbar or only the soundbar? Have you gone to audio settings and changed it to Digital Output?

In expert settings I changed from Dolby Digital to PCM... and then there was sound!  Does that make sense?
