I have a projector that does not have an HDMI ARC port, so is it possible to use an hdmi splitter from the original source of the signal to projector and the send the same signal to both the projetor and the soundbar?

I see no reason it won't work, especially if you are using a high quality splitter to avoid signal and noise issues.
