Kitchen and Family HubHi there,
My samsung rs7567bhcsp ice maker seems to not know when to shut the water off and keeps overfilling the ice maker - any ideas what mechanism exactly shuts the water off from the ice maker? More than happy to take it apart and replace parts if I know the logic to what is telling it when to stop pouring water into the ice cube tray? Tried resetting it numerous times to no avail.
It's this type of ice maker:

Kitchen and Family HubThere should be a sensor arm that makes it known that the hopper is full and shuts off the ice maker until the level of ice lowers. Not sure exactly where it's located at the moment, but it is usually very near the top of the ice bucket near where the ice is dumped into the well. Until you figure it out, you can turn off the ice maker until you use sufficient ice to warrant allowing it to refill.
