Hi all,

I have the 43-inch version of this TV. I'm struggling to get the best settings for general movie/stream watching. It's not used for gaming at this time or connected to a computer.

The RTINGS recommended settings look a bit off and far too warm/yellowish for my taste.

What SDR and HDR picture modes and motion clarity settings are you using for your TV?

Thank you.

So, it seems I have found the answer. The TV was not calibrated correctly out of the box. I used smart calibration in professional mode. Then, for Movie mode (calibrated), I set the color temperature to Standard (since I prefer cooler colors) and the color space to Native. I adjusted the brightness to my taste and the local dimming to High.

In HDR mode, again Movie (calibrated), I set the color tone to Standard, HDR Static, and the color space to Native, and the local dimming to High.

Both settings have picture clarity settings disabled.

It looks fantastic now.

Slight changes to settings after a few days of use and testing various types of media and another round of calibration.

Take note that this is not a gaming-related, it is for streaming and movies only.

**SDR:**

Movie mode (calibrated)

Color temperature: Warm1

Color space: Auto

Brightness: 35

Contrast: 45

Color: 30

Sharpness: 10

Gamma: 2.2

Local dimming: High

Contrast enhancer: Off

Shadow detail: 0

**HDR:**

Movie (calibrated); the filmmaker mode looks horrible to me.

Color temperature: Warm1

Color space: Auto

Brightness: 50

Contrast: 50

Color: 30

Sharpness: 10

Gamma is set automatically.

Local dimming: High

Contrast enhancer: Off

Shadow detail: 0

HDR tone mapping: Static

Picture clarity settings: Custom

Blur reduction: 7

Judder reduction: 4

Noise reduction: Off

With these settings the TV looks fantastic.

But it will always depend on what you prefer and the quality of your eyesight.
