LED and OLED TVsI have connected Port-ta Component to HDMI converter between the output from a Toshiba (Model: SD4900) Digital Cinema Progressive DVD Video Player and a Samsung (Model: QN65S95BAF) Smart TV. When a DVD is played the signal from the converter is not recognized by Samsung, therefore no picture or sound is available on the TV. Is there anyway to verify a component signal from the DVD player is being converted to an acceptable HDMI signal that can be recognized and processed by the Samsung TV?

LED and OLED TVsHello @CG921! Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, there is no Samsung way to test this unless there is something displayed. There may be some third party tools out there, but I would be unable to recommend any. I would recommend testing this on another device to see if this is working. This also could be a compatibility issue as the port-ta converter could be having issues with the resolution the TV is displaying at.
