LED and OLED TVsAfter looking into this further film mode is only available on interlaced sources such as 1080i or 480i and some live TV channels not for 1080p or 4k this mode is for older movies and DVDs. Filmmaker mode is for newer sources.

LED and OLED TVsHello! Thank you for reaching out! This will depend on what source you are playing on and sometimes certain Samsung TV uses it automatically. So that I can look into this further can I have your full model number?

Film mode is grayed out and can only be used with HDMI & 1080i, which defeats the purpose of 4K. I called Samsung tech support and they were no help. Said to switch picture mode to "film maker mode". Picture is dark with brightness & contrast up all the way. My old 82" LED Samsung had that feature.
