LED and OLED TVsDoes anyone know how to program the abcd buttons on this remote model to create shortcuts to specific apps or channels on my tv? I just bought this remote because my elderly husband cant even see the buttons on the smart remote. I need to set up some shortcuts for him so he can navigate directly to the few apps he knows how to use.

LED and OLED TVsRegrettably, to the best of my knowledge, those buttons are not reprogrammable to other features or applications. They are designed to serve a specific function. If you have your TV model number, please post it, and I will check the owner’s manual to see if it might be possible to change them. However, so far, I have not found an option to change them.

LED and OLED TVsI figured it out. They ARE programmable. I just followed the instructions for an earlier version of this remote model, and voila! Too bad Samsung has to make it so difficult to get an answer to a simple question about one of their products. . . and then give the wrong answer at that!

LED and OLED TVsI am pleased to learn that you were able to program them. I have always utilized them as the default option, as I was unable to locate a method to customize them.

LED and OLED TVsI may have to eat my words. I just now tried to use the button I THOUGHT I had programmed (I used it once before and it worked fine), but it did not work for me. I didn't keep the link either . . . but if you search the model number and "program ABCD buttons" you should get a link to a very similar model (same numbers but a different letter at the end), and the instructions for that model is what I used. I am going to go back and try to reprogram my shortcuts now. If I get it to work again, I will post a link to the instructions I used.
