LED and OLED TVsI have a Samsung Model UN40H6203AF tv. I have two HDMI devices I am trying to use since the tv has two HDMI ports. If I plug in either device (Comcast cable box or Apple TV box) it works fine. If I try to plug the second device. The tv goes black. I have to unplug either one of the devices before the remaining device will function. I have substituted known good high speed hdmi cables and I have tried selecting both hdmi inputs on the tv with no change.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

LED and OLED TVsMost likely, the HDMI port switching chip on the main board is defective, and the signals from the different ports are interfering with each other when two devices are connected. Replace the HDMI port switching chip or the TV main board.

LED and OLED TVsThank you, Constellation, for your comments. It appears that when I plugged the TSR-700 av receiver into the tv, it wiped out the HDMI ports which would cause what you are saying. Not understanding this soon enough, I tried the av receiver on another tv and the same thing happened. I can’t imagine what in the TSR-700 would cause that.

LED and OLED TVsThe HDMI port on the TSR-700 is faulty, and along with the HDMI signal, a voltage is applied that kills the switching chip on the TV.
