Hi there.   We just purchased a 40” Samsung HD Smart TV.   Model is UN40N5200AFXZA.   We want to wall mount this device.   The Samsung technical docs are confusing and all different.
Samsung Website says: 40” - M6 1.25x20,  Owners Manual says: M8 1.25x20-21,  Samsung Blogs state: Indented threads so use M8 1.25x40.   Called Samsung USA support and honestly after 58 mins and 4 support specialists I did not get a definitive answer.   I asked for someone in the design area and they don’t have access to those people AND there is NO email account where I can provide a write up and then pictures of the vesa setup (and indent) for this device.   We have 3 older Samsung TVs and happy with them, so purchased this 4th one.   Crappy support may cause me to abandon future Samsung purchases and possibly return this one.

Does anyone have an idea of what size and what length bolt to use?   The bottom of the thread casing is 1 and 1/16”.  The threads don’t start till about 3/4” down the hole.   I do not have a bolt long enuf to test what size it actually is m6 or m8.

Help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks much 🙂
