LaundryMy dryer, model DVE50M7450W/A3, is showing a CL9 code when I run a diagnostics. I just had the entire dryer vent duct professionally cleaned, so it is most certainly NOT a blockage issue. What do I need to do in order to clear the CL9 code from the dryer?

Hi, Members_pzOuQbv, Welcome to the Community! I understand your concern that the dryer still produces the CL9 code after the vents were professionally cleaned. Having had that issue before, I definitely want to help get this resolved.
Here are some things to check:
- Check that the lint filter is clean of lint
- Check that the flexible venting at the back of the dryer isn't crimped or crushed.
- There should not be an excessive amount of the flexible venting -- just enough to go from the dryer to the wall with a little wiggle room.
- Reducing the flexible venting length behind the dryer solved the CL9 in my case, so I wanted to mention it.
If the code still comes up, then this is what I would recommend:
- Disconnect the flexible vent from the back of the dryer.
- Run the Vent Blockage Test and see what code the test produces.
- If the outcome of the test is a Zero, then there may be something in the vent still restricting the airflow and we would recommend checking ducting requirements for the dryer.
Here is the link for the PDF copy of your model's user manual for the steps above:

- Vent Blockage Test Instructions are on pages 28-29
- Venting/Ducting Guidelines are on pages 14-15
- If the code produced is anything other than 0, there is more information on the codes on page 44.

I had my dryer with the code , took at least 3 service calls. Now there is no code , but no heat at all. Dryer vent cleaned so I don’t know what the issue is. I just want it resolved or a new dryer. I don’t want to keep getting service calls. Help!
