I have an older samsung rc512 laptop. It's 11 years old but still runs good. I'm upgrading the hard drive from the original 560gb sata drive to a samsung 870 evo 512gb ssd. I plan on installing win10 pro on it. I have it installed on the original hd and ir runs fair with the maxxed out 8gb ram.
My question is can I create a recovery partition on the new drive, and if so, which admin tool and/or recovery solution should I use and what files need to be in this recovery partition?
By default, windows 10 already makes a recovery partition, which is accessible by holding the shift key while clicking the reboot button from the start menu
