Hello, I have had a Samsung 870 EVO 1tb SSD for a couple years. In the past few months it has started having problems where my computer doesn't read that it exists.

1. When it's not being read, it isn't read by Windows or my PC's BIOS.

2. When it's not being read, the PC slows down on boot quite a bit, both loading the hardware side of the boot and when Windows starts taking a few minutes at least.

3. I have attempted to change the SATA cable and the power supply cable, including plugging in ones that work with my other drives, and this particular drive remains a problem.

4. What makes it work or not work on any given boot seems to be almost completely random. The only two pieces of information that I might have is that a) it seems to be getting worse. Or perhaps I am only noticing it more often and b) I do think that one time me bumping the computer with my foot might have triggered it not working immediately as opposed to after a boot, but I am not totally certain of my memory here.

5. I bought the driver less than three years ago, which I'm told might make it eligible for warranty replacement?

That's all the information I can think of right now, hope to hear from someone soon

I'm not sure what is causing the problem with your SSD drive. However, please try installing the Samsung Magician software for Windows and run the diagnostic tools on your drive. It's also possible that the partition is corrupt, You can also run the Windows ChkDsk command to check your drive for errors

Step 1. Press the Windows key and type cmd.

Step 2. Right-click "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as administrator."

Step 3. Enter the following command: chkdsk E: /f /r /x. ("E" means the drive letter of the partition you want to repair.)
