The Samsung Smart Monitor technology is so new that the Samsung Support Staff do not have access to documentation to properly support this product. I've spent countless hours on Samsung Support Chats, phone calls, shipped the device to a Samsung Repair Facility and no one understands the technology or has any means to support it.

If the Smart Monitor is purchased from Amazon, Samsung will not honor the warranty and deny the TV Access feature exists at all. After contacting the CEO Office, I was informed that the Engineering Department determined that the Smart Monitor does not have the capability to mirror TV's, only smart phones and tablets. This, despite screen shots that were provided and instructions from a Samsung Technician on how to utilize this feature. I was also informed that my Samsung TV's were too old to utilize this technology because they were not blue tooth enabled. I was told TV models from 2020 and newer have the capability to utilize TV Access. I purchased a new Samsung TV with Blue Tooth and the TV Access feature is still not functioning.

The Samsung Representative from the Office of the CEO stated that this was not her area of expertise, but the Engineering Department confirms that mirroring a TV to the Smart Monitor is not possible. She was unable to connect me to the department that determined that the TV Access feature on the Smart Monitor was not an actual functiong feature despite the menu options, screen shots and GUI.

Current status of this case is the CEO Representative is requesting a compatability list of TV's that this feature "should" work with, but she didn't sound hopeful.

My experience with Samsung Smart Monitors and Samsung's Technical Support defies logic, reason and clearly demonstrates they lack training and documentation to support their own technology.

Nothing in the advertisement would suggest to me that you could mirror to a TV. This is a smart monitor that connects to your PC that allows you to streem entertainment like a TV.

Limited-time deal: SAMSUNG 32" M80C UHD HDR Smart Computer Monitor Screen with Streaming TV, Slimfit Camera Included, Wireless Remote PC Access, Alexa Built-in (LS32CM801UNXZA),Warm White https://a.co/d/1eE2SvL

It is a monitor screen as advertised.

'TV Access' is Samsung's software and apps that allow the user to watch content from providers like Prime Video, Netflix, Max, Paramount+, etc. as found on their product lines of TVs. It does not intend to imply that you can access a seperate TV.

You're reading into the description something that isn't there. A misinterpretation. A misunderstanding.

When you access the menu and click on TV Accss the app displays the following:

"You can view your TV via mirroring. Some models may not be supported. The screen of the selected TV will turn off when mirroring is started.

In addition, I was given step by step instruction on using this feature.

" What I know is that it is very simple steps to follow-on TV access.

Connect your TV by selecting Home>Menu>Connected Devices>TV Access. When the connection is complete, your TV should appear appear on the Connected devices list. To connect your TV again, select TV from the list of Connected Devices. You can disconnect from your TV by pressing the Back button on your remote."

Thanks Dan, do you own one of these Smart Monitors?
Here's the breakdown:

This feature allows you to connect to and watch any TV in the house without an additional cable box. The Samsung technician claimed there was a compatability list and my Samsung TV's were too old to access this feature. Any model after 2020 would have the hardware (bluetooth according to him) to utilize TV Access. I purchased the new TV and it is still an inaccessible feature.

Not sure where you came across info that TV Access was some type of streaming app, but Samsung doesn't understand the app either.

Thanks!

An assumption on my part from reading the product description and having two Samsung TVs in my home. I apologize. I was only hoping to help. Thank you for the detailed reply.

I'm sorry that you're having this issue and wish you all the best.

Thanks Dan, I appreciate the response. Not many people, including Samsung Technical Support are familiar with this feature. Hopefully this post will catch the eye of someone with access to the documentation and compatiblity list. Great feature if it worked, huh?

Yes, if you have a need for it. I'd rather watch TV on my 63" Samsung TV in my living room or on my 32" TV from bed. But I can imagine that if you have a small apartment or are in student or military housing, that it would be awesome.
