I have a Samsung smart TV that several key options are greyed out (broadcast, reset, etc.).  I have tried every suggestion on the web (verifying source is TV, closing all apps) but nothing is working. I am plugged directly into the wall and the antenna is plugged in and works on a different tv. TV is also up to date but update is also greyed out now.

Menu options on a Samsung TV may be grayed out because of the current source, settings, or connections. For example, if the TV isn't connected to the internet, the Software Update option will be grayed out.

Possible causes

Streaming app: A streaming app running in the background can gray out settings.

Source: The source selected may not allow certain options. For example, if the source is HDMI, the Channel option may be unavailable.

External device: If an external device supports a wider black level range, the HDMI Black Level option may be grayed out.

How to fix

Close any streaming apps running in the background.

Make sure the source is set to TV or TV+.

Check the description in the menu to see why certain options are grayed out.

Refer to the user manual for more information.

Troubleshooting

If a setting is still grayed out, you can try resetting your TV to factory settings. You can access the service menu by turning off the TV and then pressing specific buttons on the remote.

Everything is connected. All apps are closed. I cannot reset it because Reset is greyed out as well.

Think worth a try atkeast unplug the TV for 5 minutes or so and see if it resets

Also, have you tried a (I think it's called a 'soft') reset? Hold down the power button on the remote (with the tv already poered on) for a little more than 3 seconds, then let it go.

Sorry to hear that. I would call Samsung's customer service, if I were you. Even if it's out of warranty, they will most likely be able to help you to some extent.
