My workaround. So I started to try and figure out a workaround. I have ATV on HDMI 1. I disabled Smart TV, and enabled Anynet HDMI and turn off HDMI enhanced. I set ATV to show Ariel screen saver in 5 min and sleep ATV in 15. So when ATV sleep, it switches the FRAME to Art mode. When the Stupid Frame decides to exit ART Mode it pops into HDMI1 ATV which then wakes it up and starts the Ariel screensaver in 5 min. At least that plays. Then in 15 min ATV goes to sleep and Frame TV automatically switches to ART Mode. Which works for quite awhile. Eventually FRAME TV ART mode gets stupid and quits again, but it will go to HDMI and ATV kicks in, screensaver, sleep and then back to ART Mode. it's a stupid workaround but it work. One hiccup. Eventually FRAME TV in ART Mode sleep will just shut down the TV completely. You have to wake it up again and manually switch to HDMI1 ATV. This happens eventually. Sometimes within a day or two, sometimes a whole week before it does that. Clearly this FIRMWARE has ruined the entire experience.
Our Frame TV doesn't remain in Art Mode; after a random length of time (can be 10-minutes or several hours) a TV program will turn on. We worked with Samsung Chat, but the problem still persists. We have the latest software version installed, 1503.8
This is a new problem; it was working perfectly until just a few weeks ago. We really like the TV, but this problem has become very frustrating since we never know when it will switch from Art Mode to a TV show.
Exact same problem, I forgot to turn off auto-update of the firmware and once again fell victim to the only company on earth that actively breaks its own products. Never again with samsung
Same issue with out new 43" frame TV. Looking at the event log it shows "Power-on Reason, Sensor" when this happens. I have spent an hour trying to find a solution online and can't find anyway to resolve the issue.
