QLED and The Frame TVsJust got a brand new QN90C that I use with an HP Laptop. When plugged in, the TV auto detects the laptop as “PC” and goes to the Home Screen to show me that a PC tile has been added. However, whenever the laptop is powered off, the TV forgets the device and its tile disappears from the home menu. Then, when the laptop is powered on again, the TV repeats the auto detection step. (The HDMI cable always remains plugged in). This process takes a significant amount of time and I’m constantly having to repeat it.
I have tried different HDMI ports and different HDMI cables. Also, this issue does not occur with my Nintendo switch
How can I stop the TV from forgetting my Laptop? Is there a way to turn off the auto detection feature? Isn’t there some way to just select an input like “HDMI 1” directly?
