Distracting emoji row above text box

Why is there now an emoji row above the text bubble in this app now? It's very distracting when trying to type a response. The last thing this app needs is emoji abuse.

It goes away after you post. It's distracting while you're typing. If one wants to add emojis, everyone's keyboard has them.
