I was thinking a new feature could be added/embedded within the volume options on the pulldown menu for phones.
Currently there's:
Volume On
Vibrate Only
Silent
But what if there could be a fourth? Called "Custom" or "Silent Exceptions", not sure of a good name but just want to throw the idea out there to the team.
1. Create a new option.
2. Have the long press on it open a menu where all notifications are turned off by default, and you can manually turn on the ones you want, sorted alphabetically by App / and if possible to go even further within an App sub menu, by Person.
An example, I don't care to hear any notifications except for my significant other on facebook messenger at night. Let me be able to, quickly with a press of a button, mute everything but leave that one messenger conversation(s) on with the ability to notify/ring.
This gives users the custom ability to edit what's important for them to be notified of, where and when, on the fly.
