Notes Pgup Pgdn

When I use Pgup or Pgdn in Notes, a bar appears on the screen which contains icons for the various function keys. I am looking for a way to turn that bar off.

The reason I want to turn it off is that I am using my tablet to view music and I can't afford to waste that space on the screen as it makes the image of the music too small.
