I see the same thing. After this last upgrade, the font for the weather and clock widgets got extremely small and I don't see any way to make it larger. I'm confused why anyone would think this is a wise decision.

New update is not helpful. The two separate drop down menus from the top of the screen are confusing. Also, the new panel design is difficult. Can't tell what a setting icon is with just a picture, especially when some have almost identical images. Now you have to drop down the whole menu to see it's name and search for the setting you need. There is also less space to set your main setting icons (10 before, now 8). Before the update, the design was simple and had ease of use. After the update, the design is overly complicated and difficult to navigate.

Sorry to learn that you are not satisfied with the recently updated drop-down feature. However, we understand your preference for a single swipe-down interface and are pleased to inform you that you can revert to the previous method. 

Quick Notification settings

1. Swipe down from the top right of the screen.
2. Click the Pencil icon in upper right.
3. Click the Panel settings in upper left
4. Change the setting from Separate to Together.

Thank you for the information. However, it does not help with the issue of the icons just being images. Yes you can pull the whole menu down to see the name, but it's not the easiest to drag it back up without pulling the whole drop down instead.

How do I get the old media player back on my lock screen and notification player?

On the lock screen, the music bar/bubble is now at the bottom of the screen where you swipe up to unlock it. Doesn't seem like the greatest design when one application is applied on top of another. It's also difficult to see now, not only being way at the bottom, but also because it's about a third of the size it was before the update.

generally the updates have been pretty good, you can understand the logic behind it. this update is the biggest fail I've seen yet. it's like play schools my first android UI. genuinely considering moving to apple. considering a whole team of people had to agree this was the path forward sheds serious concerns about the future of android devices.

you didnt read the message did you. I think you will find the message reads "generally the updates have been pretty good" which means most of the updates have been fine. which means change isn't the issue or there would have been an issue with the other updates too. the issue is this play school no forethought update.

To increase the number of quick settings icons, you can use the QuickStar module in Good Lock. Download GL from either Galaxy Store or Play Store.
