Samsung Apps and ServicesHi,
So I recently tried to figure out how predictive text works on my samsung phone. Since I'm not logged in to my samsung account on my phone, I thought nothing was sent to Samsung from my keyboard while using predictive text.
Reading the privacy policy I find the information to be lacking:
"In addition to the information you provide, we collect information about your use of our Services through software on your devices and by other means. This information includes:
(...)
o Samsung Keyboard information: The words that you type when you enable āPredictive textā. This feature may be offered in connection with your Samsung account to synchronise the data for use on your other Samsung mobile devices. You can clear the data by going to the āPredictive textā settings."
I can't say whether predictive text, while turned on, is sending data to Samsung servers or whether it's just being stored locally (while not signed in to a Samsung account.)
Does anyone know?
