Looking for a fix?
After One UI ver 6.1 update I'm no longer able to adjust the 63 & 125 hz bands on the custom equalizer settings in Samsung Music.
I have a 2024 GMC and listen to my music on my phone utilizing Android Auto on the infotainment system. I use the Samsung Music app and was able to adjust the low frequency bands on the Samsung Music apps Custom equalizer settings in order to spending $1,200+ dollars on an aftermarket subwoofer installation.
It was working well until the last One UI 6.1 update which was installed on my S24 Note last week.
I noticed the loss of bass audio right after the update and took a look at the EQ settings today and noticed that the 63hz & 125hz bands are grayed out and no longer adjustable.
I chatted with Samsung support and they had no solution and suggested i post my issues on this member community.
When I asked if there is a way to rollback to previous One UI version I was informed it cannot be done.
I'd appreciate any suggestions, otherwise I'll be spending lots of $'s on aftermarket sub installation. Which obviously would be better, however the Samsung music equalizer adjustments were working well enough for my old ears!

Please try installing the Samsung Sound Assistant from the Samsung Galaxy Store. It has some extra options for controlling your sound

Thanks for the information. I didn't know there were equalizer apps that seamlessly work with Samsung Music.
