Samsung Music App Frequent Crashing

Hello. I am having some issues with the functioning of the Samung Music app. 

My device is a Galaxy s9 running Android 10. The version of the Samsung Music App apk is 16.2.14.14. I am aware that this version of the app is years behind. I choose to use this version, as I was quite fond of the Edge Lighting features it had. So I use this specific version of the apk since anything beyond that, the feature was removed.

Now the issue is that after installing the Music App apk stored in my phone's files, I am experiencing an annoying glitch where the app freezes then crahses whenever I try to acess anything within the 'Albums' tab. 

I cannon view my albums, play anything out of that tab, or even view/edit album information. 

I have never experienced this bug whenever I had downloaded this apk before. So far I have attempted:

- Uninstalling/Reinstalling the apk

- Installing the apk from Local Storage and an SD card

- Downloading another copy of the apk from a different source and installing that file

- Force Closing and clearing the Memory Cache

- Restarting my Samsung device

So far none of those have worked,  and the same problem persists no matter what apk file I install, from any source. It seems to be an issue with that version of the apk itself. But I am unsure.

At this point, if none of the above methods work, it could be time to consider upgrading to a more current version of the app. Even though it removes the Edge Lighting feature, newer versions may be more stable and offer other improvements or features you might find useful.

If you’re unable to resolve the problem with the older version and the crash is affecting your music enjoyment, it might be worth considering switching to a different music app or finding a custom ROM or APK modification that can get the features you want.
