Samsung Apps and ServicesThe best I can find is when you click on a video in Gallery, instead of hitting the unmute, you click the 3-dot menu and choose open in video player. Once it opens in video player, it will automatically open with the sound on. Tapping the black part of the screen will bring up the controls and another 3-dot menu where you can select the video player settings and have it auto play the next video. I can't, for the life of me, understand why Samsung did not make the video player a separate app that you can just open, but apparently, it's only integrated into gallery. I did find a little bit of a workaround, in that if you go into file manager and the DCIM folder where your video is stored (if you made albums in gallery, they will be separate folders), and tap on the video you want to play, there will be a slide up asking which app you want to use to open the video and you can chose video player/always. But "always" only means when you access the videos via the file manager. If you access the video via the Google photos app, it will play with the sound on, since it automatically starts in video player. To be fair I don't know if that's because I selected always open in video player before I checked the Google photos app, but the selection did not carry over to Gallery. I would see what happens if you use Google Photos to open your videos.
I don't really like Google photos because they organize by date, and going back to put everything in albums would be exhausting. Even though it backs up your photos from your device, it doesn't organize it into the same albums you may have organized your gallery in. You might want to organize all your videos in Google photos into a single album for easy access in the future. This will not affect the order they are in in your gallery.

Samsung Apps and ServicesFunny, I never even knew my videos had sound until early this year, when I saw someone else complain about that very thing. I always thought my videos were silent. It didn't bother me. After I saw the original complaint, I went to one of my videos and then saw the sound icon. When I unmuted it, I was surprised to hear the voices. It wasn't anything I wanted/needed to hear sounds on -- it was just a tourist thing of an underwater boat ride; I didn't need to hear the oohs and ahhs of the crowd. I don't know why it never occurred to me that the videos would have sound, but it just never did. Now that I know, I'll have to be careful what I say when I'm taking the video.
