Samsung notes disappear when typing

When I type notes then what u previously typed disappears

Extremely annoying and has cost me hours of having to retype everything or write it down on paper and then retype in my computer.  Is there anyway to retrieve the lost notes?

Open Samsung Notes》 Choose 3 dashes at top left 》Choose Settings symbol at top right 》Turn on Auto Save Notes
