After a recent upgrade to One UI 8.0, programs within Secure Folder cannot access files also within Secure Folder.
In particular, the Secure Folder versions of Snapseed (photo editing), Protonmail, and Discord cannot find secured files. Google photos, and Samsung Gallery seem unaffected.
Any help?

Samsung Apps and ServicesCan Samsung please update us on their position on this?
Is it a bug then will be addressed in a forthcoming patch?
Or is this by design and Samsung have knowingly significantly reduced the functionality of Secure Folder without informing their customers?
Which of these is Samsung's position?

Samsung Apps and ServicesThings are working as they should? Really? We cannot access any media or files from the secure folder when we want to upload something on a browser. Is that the normal working? Secure folder literally unusable now.

Samsung Apps and ServicesBased on the reply https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Secure-folder-applications-within-cann... we will just have to wait until the next update. Hope they fix it properly.

Samsung Apps and ServicesIt's still not working. The only apps that can access the media and files in secure folder are Gallery, Google photos, and Files. This is pretty unacceptable.
Fix this!

Samsung Apps and ServicesMaybe then Samsung does not understand how the secure folder should work (and how it worked until UI 7):
An app INSIDE the secure folder should be able to access a file that is INSIDE the secure folder. And exactly this is not possible anymore since the update to UI8
By the way, I was in contact with an technician from Samsung and he confirmed to me that Samsung is working on that bug at the moment and they will fix it with the next update hopefully 😉
