Secure folder: applications within cannot access files (with One UI 8.0)

After a recent upgrade to One UI 8.0, programs within Secure Folder cannot access files also within Secure Folder.

In particular, the Secure Folder versions of Snapseed (photo editing), Protonmail, and Discord cannot find secured files.  Google photos, and Samsung Gallery seem unaffected.

Any help?

I would suggest trying to delete the app in Secure folder and then reinstall it in Secure folder.

Got the update yesterday. Same issue here.

First I checked the app permissions (Chrome for me) which had no access to photos and videos but even after changing it no content of the secure folder can be opened.  It can access everything outside of the secure folder though.

Hey Guys, Based off of our research, things are working as they should with the secure folder application and there are no plans for any updates. We thank you for your feedback, and please continue sharing feedback via the Samsung Members app. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may have caused, and thank you for being a Samsung customer.

Thanks for the response. Can you please clarify though?

Does it mean that normal apps will never get access anymore to files/photos/videos in the secure folder? Can you please let us know which apps get this special access because the OP said that some apps actually work.

Some better explanation what the expected behavior is would be interesting.
