Unable to create custom stickers in Gallery

I'm having an issue creating stickers from the gallery.

In the past, we could long press to get a sticker selection amd then manually edit that selection.

Now however, the ai selection makes it's selection, and we get no option to adjust that selection at all.

(For instance, I wanted just a head selection, but instead it selected the entire object with now option to crop or adjust it.)

Getting some videos posted on how these new tools can be used would be SO helpful, instead of only seeing 50,000 camera shootouts.

Sounds like there was a glitch in the software update. Software updates don't break apps . If resetting your phone does not work, then you need to reflash your phone with the latest update after removing the apps, not working. I set my update to run only when connected to wifi and perfer to update through Samsung Smart Switch.

I didn't have to reset my phone but I did restart it and the apps open now. Never had that issue before. One thing that the update did was reset all of the custom settings for layout and controls. Is that normal? My settings have always been the same after all the previous updates.

The update did not adversely affect my Fold at all.  It is possible that the update caused an incompatibility with an app which caused your issues. 

I always recommend at least a power cycle after and update and I always perform the soft reset (power and Vol down buttons) after an update.

I will start doing the soft reset after updates. Like I said, this is the first time I have ever had an issue with any of the updates so it stands out

**EDIT: I did not use the AI function for this. 

OK,  please bear with me as this is all new territory for me but for the image below, I created 3 stickers, from left to right at the top part of the picture I have a sticker of the entire dog, just his head and an entire photo.

To edit I pressed and held the photo until the popup for the sticker appeared and then I tapped the 3 dot menu and edit.  The second photo is the sticker edit screen

The problem with this work around is say I wanted to use part of the chair as a sticker for example that doesn't get recognised as an area for initial selection so then I can't create a sticker of what I wanted. 

 

 

 like with this imagine that's the only bit I can make a selection of. Of I try to highlight the unit on the left to make a sticker it just gives me the paste option now I have something in my clipboard, before I did it just said something along the lines of nothing to select. Which renders the editing software useless if I wanted to create a sticker of the left unit 🤷‍:male_sign:
