Does anybody know if there is a way to configure it so that a single tap in the letterbox will bring up the standard virtual keyboard on a Samsung S6 Lite Tablet with the S6 stylus.

So as it is now it requires either a series of taps or tapping in the letterbox with my finger to bring up the standard virtual keyboard. You know like you would iniate with a single finger tap in the letterbox. Even to bring up the special keyboard for the S6 Lite stylus that you can use regular handwriting in, requires either several taps or a long tap which sometimes will bring up the stylus mini menu with the different options, and sometimes will not.

This however is not the keyboard. I am seeking to bring up, I seek just the regular old as if you were typing with your finger Samsung virtual keyboard.

I would like to figure out if this is possible due to bad eyesight and it's easier for me to see the normal virtual keyboard, also I am familiar with the layout.

But I have looked around in the settings and pen configuration menus and haven't stumbled upon such a option for use with the S6 stylus.

It's extremely inconvient to have to add a series of extra taps to my usage with the S6 pen which I like for its accuracy but hate because it makes texting or entering characters into the letterbox a much more time consuming and irritating endeavor due to the required extra taps and the inconsistent response that the taps produce, sometimes bringing up the desired stylus menu but frequently just drawing a dot or several dots instead of bringing up the menu, causing me to have to stop my train of thought and f@#$ with d@! thing. And either requiring me to repeatedly try to get it to bring up the stylus mini menu with the correct pen tap it likes or hit the stupid thing with my finger. Which either way is not allowing me a optimal typing experience and greatly slowing down my "flow".

I mean it works well with a ordinary generic captive stylus but I haven't been able to get the S6 Lite stylus to work in the same way, hopefully the answer isn't "well use an ordinary regular generic stylus then" ,that would be super disappointing.

Anyway any pointers or were info on how to configure the S6 Lite Tablet in such a way my greatly appreciated. Thx

Settings>general management>Samsung keyboard settings>scroll to the bottom and there are two settings: handwriting recognition and S-pen to text. Enabling handwriting recognition will bring up a floating window for writing, S-pen to text will enable you to write directly within the text field.
If Samsung keyboard is not your default keyboard, it will need to be changed. Under general management, hit keyboard list and default, then tap default keyboard>Samsung keyboard
