My Galaxy tab stuck itself into landscape mode and nothing I've done has fixed it. Auto-rotate is on, no apps are causing it, I even factory reset my entire tablet and it still booted back up in landscape and will. not. flip. back. I don't know what to do anymore, I use this tab for school and like to read in portrait mode so this is driving me nuts.

Hey, userHFGxmutuGH welcome to the community!

Everyone that's commenting here are correct. If you need any additional info, I recommend looking over this link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10002023/

If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

If you like to read in portrait mode try turning auto rotate off.
Does it switch it to portrait or does it lock in landscape mode?

You can try the diagnostic in the members app on your tablet, it sounds like the accelerometer is not working.
Specifically test the sensors, if it fails you will have to contact support for repair.
