Tablets
System apps can not be removed. Others you can long press the app icon and a menu pops up REMOVE just removes the app from a home screen. UNINSTALL will Uninstall the app. SELECT will give you check boxes on all the visible and removable apps on the current screen. I hope that helps.

Depends if they are in the Play Store or Galaxy Store.
But an easy way is to long press on the app's icon , on a Home screen, and tap Uninstall
But if you go into the Play Store, you can select one or more apps and uninstall at once
