S9 Ultra facial recognition with mask on.

I have the S9 Ultra and wear a mask at work. When I try to scan my face with the mask on it does not work. I then tried add alternative to help , but when I try to scan my face it says please remove mask and scan again. Does s9 Ultra facial recognition not work with a mask?

IIRC Facial recognition will not work with a mask on.
