I'm wondering why this is happening, I mean it's nice and all, but it hurts my eyes when I am on it at night. I'm always on dark mode, but this contradicts the purpose of dark mode. How do I get rid of it?

Did you perhaps install keycafe from good lock and edit the keyboard

You'll have to look in your keyboard settings to see if you accidentally switched something on.
