Hello,

Below is my dryer model and serial number:

MODEL NO. - DVE52M8650V/A3
SERIAL NO. - REMOVED

Wondering what the issue is, but this "HC" error code is all I ever get:
ā€¢ When dryer is not started:
ā—¦ https://streamable.com/qdq455 (https://streamable.com/qdq455)
ā€¢ When the dryer is started:
ā—¦ https://streamable.com/6u3gze (https://streamable.com/6u3gze)

I have replaced the Samsung Heater Duct Assembly and the error persists (here).

I have also replaced the Samsung Dryer Control Board (ebay part here), and the error persists.

Same error as above shown after replacing the two parts (when dryer is started vs. not started) --> HC error code

Does anyone have a clue what could be happening or what to check next?

It must be another heater sensor I haven't checked yet, however any clue on which one to check that could be sending this error code?

Also, I have done all of the initial simple troubleshooting when originally diagnosing this error (ensuring lint catcher is completely clear and ensuring no kink or issue with exhaust hose), however as stated, the HC error code comes on without the dryer started (see videos above).

Thank you!

Faulty thermostat thats what tells you the abnormal temperature of your dryer. If you have multimeter check. I'm thinking it's the high limit thermostat. But check continuity of both the high limit and cut off

Hello there and thank you for the speedy reply.

So, is this thermostat not included on the part I replaced called the "Heater Duct Assembly"? Is this not the Thermostat? Because per your suggestion, if this is in fact the thermostat, then it means that my replacement part has a faulty thermostat?

Thanks again for the follow up.

Yeah, the high limit should be on the heater element, and the other is on the blower unit. The only other thing is. I'm sure you did was clean the entire ducting system out. Also check continuity on element too

Ok, so what we tried was removing both connecting wires to the thermostat and the thermal fuse just to see if the dryer would indicate the HC code when turned on without starting. This way, the only connecting wires with regards to Heater Duct Assembly that we left connected were the terminal connected closest to the dryer (which is a white shaped box with 3 prongs (shown here). Still the HC error code came up 10 seconds after plugging in.
