Washer suddenly began shaking violently with a banging noise on spin. Tech first thought it was the shocks. After further investigation, the tab/slot where the front counterbalance weight attaches to the plastic outer tub has completely broken/disintegrated. The machine is unusable and we are told the repair is more than the washer. We are also told issues like this are not unheard of. This machine was delivered and installed only 2 1/2 years ago and used by a household of 3. Seems a flawed design to have the bolt destroy the plastic it attaches to.
