Washers and DryersOur Samsung WF45K6500 washer stopped mid-cycle this morning with no signs of power. We then noticed that the breaker for the circuit in the laundry room had tripped. We tried removing the other appliances in the same circuit - plugging in the washer immediately trips the breaker. We tried plugging in the washer to a different circuit - immediately trips that breaker.
Do I now have a washer with a failed circuit board?
Is this something that is repairable, or is it time for a new washer?
It's a bit surprising that the washer has lasted only a few years. We were under the impression that Samsung products were reliable and were of a high quality.

Washers and Dryers@gwelling You would need to contact Samsung support and have a technician evaluate the device.

Washers and DryersI tried to initiate a support request through the Samsung site but the first thing it requires is the serial number of the device which is inside the washer door, which we can't open because it requires power, which we can't apply because it keeps tripping the breaker.
Without being able to apply power we may have to take the washer outside and either force open the door with a crow bar (thus irreparably destroying the machine) or break the glass to remove the water and the clothes that are stuck in there.

Washers and DryersDid you not register the washer in your Samsung account? If you did, the serial number will show there. Are you sure that's the only place with a serial number label? Sometimes appliances also have them on the back (I would assume for just such instances). If you still have your sales receipt, the serial number is usually on there. I never bought an appliance where it wasn't (proof of purchase and all that).
I have never heard of a washer that needs power to open the door, but now that I have, I know what to avoid. What happens if your power goes out in the middle of a cycle, how would you get your clothes out without molding? There must be some kind of emergency release.
