A14 Selective Contacts Disappearing

Greetings. I have had a Samsung A14 phone for 2 years. Recently, some of my contacts have started disappearing from CONTACTS. In RECENTS on the PHONE app, they are still there: contact photo, numbers, and all notes etc., but they just aren't in my CONTACTS when I search for them.  Any ideas?

Would help to know which Contacts app that you're using, Samsung or Google.

Generally, in the apps settings ensure that you're selecting ALL Contacts and not just from one subset.

I use Samsung Contacts (photos).

Hi there! I think it's just the Contacts app that came with the phone? How do I tell the difference? ALSO I did read a few random fixes on the internet but I cannot locate any options to select "All Contacts" from either the Contacts app or in Settings.

How do you tell?

Press and hold on the Contact app icon

Tap the circled 'i'

Scroll down and tap on App details in store.

If you find no 'App details in store' to select, then you are using the stock Samsung Contacts app.

If you're using Google Contacts, it will take you to the Play Store page for the app which should tell you the developer is Google LLC.

OK So I click on the MENU (3 lines) in CONTACTS and then MANAGE CONTACTS, and these are my options (I do not see anything that says ALL CONTACTS): Merge contacts, Import Contacts, Export Contacts, Move Contacts, Sync Contacts. That's it.
